During a side event at Ramsar COP13 on the implementation of the Ramsar Convention in the DPR Korea, the representative from the DPRK, Mrs. Ri Kyong Sim (Ministry of Land and Environment Protection) gave a presentation on the wetlands in the country and the actions being taken to conserve them [Eng presentation, Korean presentation]. Mrs. Ri also launched a new 19 minute video entitled “Wetlands of Korea, the treasure house of biodiversity” during the side event. The video was produced by the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection and has already been shown on national television
