Russia has been a Partner since 2006 (MoP1). It now has 10 Flyway Network Sites, the most recent being 1999, May. It covers a vast area and is home to a great deal of vital breeding grounds, from the Siberian nesting sites of shorebirds such as the endangered Spoon-billed Sandpiper, to the Amur river basin where Scaly-sided Merganser breed. Wetland sites across Russia also support crane, ducks, geese and swans and other Key Species of the EAAFP
