POSITION VACANT – FUNDRAISING MANAGER
The East Asian–Australasian Flyway Partnership (EAAFP) is the major international framework established for the conservation of migratory waterbirds and their habitat in the flyway. The Flyway Partnership exists to enhance collaboration on the conservation of migratory waterbirds and their habitats as international cooperation is essential to protect migratory waterbirds throughout the Flyway.
The EAAFP is served by a Secretariat located in Incheon, Republic of Korea, established in 2009. The Secretariat is an international organization working closely with the Flyway Partners from governments, intergovernmental organizations and NGOs. Its business is conducted in the English language.
The Secretariat is seeking a Fundraising Manager to lead and contribute to the development and implementation of a resourcing strategy for EAAFP, working closely with Secretariat staff and the EAAFP Finance Committee
Duties and responsibilities of the Fundraising Manager are included in the attached Terms of Reference.
Duration of Contract:
The period of initial appointment will be for one year with the possibility of renewal on the annual evaluation of work performance and continuity of funding.

Application Procedure:
The position is based in Incheon, Republic of Korea. Persons interested in applying for this position should submit a completed EAAFP Application Form and a Cover letter, no more than five pages in length. Taking into account the responsibilities and duties of the position as outlined above, you should respond in writing to the following selection criteria (maximum of 300 words for each criterion) in an attachment:
- Professional experience – Summarise your professional experience in fundraising, including your track record in developing and negotiating funding agreements (through grants, corporate funds, etc.) and developing supporter programs
- Communication and presentation skills and experience – Describe your history of communications, branding, marketing and public relations in a professional context, both in English and other Flyway languages
- Working with a diverse range of funding agencies, corporations and individuals – Give examples of your experience, role and success with different types and levels of funding organisations and individuals, and the reasons for your success.
- Ability to work independently and in a team to achieve results – Explain your experience and roles both when working in a professional team and independently
- Knowledge and experience in working in the region – Describe your firsthand knowledge of working in the East Asian- Australasian region, notably in Korea and preferably on fundraising issues
