The EAAF Partnership Document is the foundational document of the Partnership. It was developed during three Flyway consultation workshops in year 2004/05 at Seosun (Republic of Korea), Krabi (Thailand) and Canberra (Australia).
The Partnership Document guides Partners to develop cooperation and collaboration to achieve the shared Partnership Goal–"to recognize and conserve migratory waterbirds and their habitats in the East Asian-Australasian Flyway for the benefits of people and biodiversity”. The Partnership Document outlines the Purpose, Goal and Objectives, Membership, Administration, and Finance.
The Annexes include the following: the List of Partners, Definitions, Taxonomic groups of waterbirds migrating within the East Asian-Australasian Flyway, Flyway Site Network Criteria, Sites included in the East Asian-Australasian Flyway Site Network, the Organizational Structure of the Partnership. Meeting of Partners update these Annexes from to time at meeting of Partners (see footer on each page of the Partnership Document for details on any changes made by the Meeting of Partners.
