Australia became a Partner in 2006 (MoP1). It now has 25 Flyway Network Sites, the most recent designation being 2017, January. Millions of migratory waterbirds visit each year to escape the northern hemisphere winter. They include Key Species of the EAAFP such as the Black-tailed Godwit, Great Knot and Far-Eastern Curlew.
