The Asian Waterbird Census (AWC), is part of the International Waterbird Census that provides an important mechanism to monitor waterbirds at Ramsar sites and other important wetlands world. This programme also serves to raise awareness of the importance of wetlands and waterbirds.
The latest Asian Waterbird Census AWC Newsletter (#19) has been published. In this issue, we present an annual update of the AWC programme and share some news highlights and activities from the past year from our partners and Wetlands International and look ahead to 2013.
